It’s a Bird, A Plane, It’s Glasses MAN - AKA Kaiea Bosgra 12/9/2007 - Yesterday was a who’s who of surfing at Log Cabins sand bar. Everyone from this new kid we called Glasses man to Number one top seller Jordy Smith, and if that’s not enough the rest of the world was there. Meanwhile Shane Beschen destroyed V-land once again on his 5′3” …Lost Rocket. Peter Mendia came down as well as Ian Walsh. After the smoke settled WARDO made his presence with his new …Lost Gull-Wing 5′8”. Some of the photographers had bad etiquette and it seemed like a horse race with everyone jockeying for position. Such Jonzsers huh???? We here at LOST hope all of you guys really got the shot. Once a barney always a barney. Joe Alani once again came through in the clutch, doing overtime with a session at VLAND and a session at LOGS, he realized how Tupat has such mental video and photo discipline. ALL in all the day was a huge success for LOST. Even some dude with a full decked out LOST board with all the bells and whistles was trying big moves, he is a no name until we came up with the name Glasses MAN. Check this dude out he could be the next Vince or even the next Water Man. This kid could actually be the next Mick Fanning. Keep your eyes peeled for this kid in future magazines, videos and any other cool way of showing you’re a full on full blown ripper. Signing out TUPAT

Pro Surfing: Big Waves, Big Injuries - Meet Dr. Ken Grey

Surfing is awesome! Of course if you don’t do it, then it really does suck so don’t even try it. Either way, we will continue to surf when we want to and we can chill out if we are suffering from a hangover or a bad back caused by our 9 to 5 job. Our choice right?
If you are a pro surfer that is your 9 to 5 job! You are stoked because you love it and know there would be a million other hungry groms willing to take your spot if you began to bitch and complain about it.
What happens to these guys when they miscalculate CHOPES or PIPE ?
They get beat on, contorted by under water washing machines and in Timmy Reyes case at pipeline, staples to the head so Timmy can be ready for the next heat in an hour (Slater).
This leads us to Dr. Ken Grey AP DOM. Dr. Ken as we call him, gets flown all over the world to provide his non-surgical healing services to the WCT, X-Games and to some of the best athletes on the planet. We caught up with Dr Ken and saw him busy at work at both the Sunset and Pipeline contests. He was brought in for the entire Triple Crown and worked on a guy named Mick Fanning (oddly enough I have a cool flip flop with the same name on it) and some new kid Jordy Smith.
